Loomis returns to DJ Ink's seminal imprint once again with Anamorphic and Cognition.Two cuts of stripped back, experimental Drum & Bass from this innovative producer.
“Anamorphic” intros with spacious synth keys, shimmering percussive elements slice and complement lush melodic riffs. Minute sonic details and atmospheres appear throughout adding another dimension with each play through. Deep and progressive moods explored through a DnB lens. Pure class!
"Cognition" closes the project, laying down a heart pounding template of low kicks, snarling wisps and open ended reverbs. Lunar bleeps and voices add to the panoramic soundscape, while carefully placed textures cut through the tracks rhythmic tension like a knife.
The steady pulse of kick drums continue, ushering in a body moving riddim track of crisp finger snaps, distant kettle hits and cracking hand claps. An analogue string line hovers over the whole affair, accented with voices and classic reece bursts, creating an immense sense of imminent hypnotic action that follows the listener along.
